Create a rustic wood burned bowl using an ancient technique with coals from a fire. Spend the evening around a gently tended central fire to learn, share and connect as we use the fire as a tool to create a rustic burned bowl. Over the course of the evening you will learn how to use hot coals from the fire to create a beautiful and functional wooden bowl. You will learn about carving techniques to finish and refine your handcrafted bowl, and there will also be an opportunity to enjoy some tea and snacks prepared over the fire.

At home in the outdoors, Scott is a student of the Tom Brown Jr. Tracker School based out of New Jersey, and is currently completing Level Two of the Kamana Naturalist Training program through the Wilderness Awareness School. He is passionate about living off the land and learning about traditional skills and also enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge with others. 'Burned Wood Bowls' is just one of the connective land based workshops Scott and his partner Sarah, Co-founders of Flint + Flora, offer on Manitoulin Island.
